Why permanent brows change colour.
As pigment ages in the skin, its warmer and cooler elements break down at different rates — and the colour left behind is rarely the one you started with. It's incredibly common, and almost always fixable.
- ✓ Brows that have gone orange, red or a warm brassy tone
- ✓ A pink or violet cast that never quite reads as natural
- ✓ Older work that has cooled to grey, blue or ashy
- ✓ Patchy fade, where some areas held and others didn't
- ✓ Microblading strokes that have blurred into a shadow
- ✓ A shape or colour that simply never suited you
Helen's approach
Correction, not just removal.
Removing every trace of old pigment isn't always necessary — and isn't always the kindest route for your skin. Where it suits you, Helen uses colour theory to cancel the unwanted tone, then rebuilds a natural brow over the top. Where removal is the better path first, she'll say so.
Neutralising the tone
Using the opposite on the colour wheel — a cool corrector to calm an orange or red, a warm one to lift a grey — Helen neutralises the shade that's showing, bringing the brow back towards a natural, believable base.
Rebuilding the brow
Once the colour is settled and balanced, Helen redesigns soft, natural brows using her Naturally Defined Method™ — shape and definition planned around your face, not the old work you came in with.
Some cases are best started with laser or saline removal to lighten heavy or very dark pigment first — see laser & removal. Helen will always recommend the right combination for you.
What to expect
Patient, considered, and honest.
01
An honest assessment
Helen looks closely at the tone and depth, and tells you realistically what correction can achieve.
02
A staged plan
Correction is done over more than one session, spaced to let the skin settle between each step.
03
Natural brows again
The unwanted colour calmed, and a soft, natural brow you're happy to be seen in.
Investment
Priced at your consultation.
No two corrections are the same — the colour showing, how deep the old pigment sits, and how many sessions it needs all vary. Helen gives you a clear, honest price once she has seen your brows in person.
Consultations are always free.
